Tour information

The famous two hour walking tour focuses on the history of Iceland, the evolution of Reykjavík as a town and Icelandic culture in general, laid out in an informative and comic way by Marteinn (Martin) an English speaking Icelander and a history graduate. This tour has no fixed price, instead it runs on the great free walking tour model found allover the world where each participant sets the price of the tour afterwards by a tip.

This tour includes:

City hall — Concert Hall (Harpan) — Parliament building — Fógetagarður — Rocky village — Prime Minister’s office — Hallgrímskirkja — Lake Tjörnin — And more!

In front of the House of Parliament (Alþingi). We are easy to find, we’re holding a big hand-sign.

Things to note

Groups of 6+ people can join the classic “free” walk with special permission given via e-mail. Bigger groups than 12 people are asked to book the tour privately. We run year around, and rarely take a day off.
