Also featured in the tour are the main sites of the city including Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Sofia University, Hagia Sofia Church, the Parliament building, Slaveikov square, and King Liberator statue.
Your journey starts by one of the main symbols of Sofia — Alexander Nevski Cathedral. From there you’ll visit Hagia Sofia Church and learn more about its origin. Next you’ll pass through the Sofia Univeristy, the Parliament and the statue of King Liberator, a very symbollic monuments for the country’s history. After that it’s time for a breakfast where you’ll try Bulgarian banitsa with ayryan, a very typical Bulgarian breakfast. After the breakfast you’ll continue the walk along the historical, charming streets of the Old Sofia town. Your guide will lead you to a famous grocery market at Graf Ignatiev street. Then you’ll head towards a famous pastry shop and pass the renonwed Slaveikov square. At the pastry shop you get to taste some of Bulgarias finest pastry!
