Dig into the Bulgarian cuisine culture and spend your afternoon like a true local. Enjoy walking around the city and seeing the most important monuments such as King’s Palace, National Theater, the ‘mini Jerusalem square’, Lion’s Bridge, while at the same time you get to try delicious Bulgarian wines, tasty sweets and meze.
Your journey starts with your guide leading you towards the beautiful building of the National Theater, King’s palace, and Presidency. From there you’ll pay a visit to a favourite among locals, the Art Club, where you’ll enjoy snacks, the world famous Shopska salad, and a glass of a very traditional Bulgarian drink called ayryan.
The tour will then continue and head towards St. Nedelya church, Banya Bashi Mosque, and the Synagogue, at a square called ‘the mini Jerusalem’. After that your guide takes you to visit the ancient Central Hali Market where you’ll get a chance to buy all kinds of local delicacies. Just before the end of the tour you’ll see the newest underground in Europe, the Lion’s Bridge. The tour ends at a typical Bulgarian restaurant called 4 houses, where you’ll enjoy fantastic Bulgarian wines and meats.
